But what if we designed differently? What if a product could be timeless—both in style and lifespan? That’s exactly what we aimed for with the RiZZ outdoor mat, one of the most durable and sustainable home decor trends for 2025.
The original design - rewind to 2006
At RiZZ, we never set out to create disposable products. With almost 70 years in the brush-making industry (this was back in the early 2000s), we knew how to craft for longevity.
So when designing the RiZZ outdoor mat, we asked ourselves: “How can we turn a simple doormat into a high-quality, lasting, beautiful piece that homeowners take pride in?”.
The result was a designer outdoor mat with elegant, timeless colors—one that home and venue owners would love to showcase at their entrance, creating the perfect finishing touch.
When we launched the original design in 2006, it quickly resonated with interior designers and architects worldwide. But today, a new priority has emerged: longevity and increasing product lifespan. Because let’s face it—we don’t need more stuff; we need better stuff!
How we build for durability
Selecting Materials that Last
- Robust aluminum frame with powder coating and anodization to resist extreme weather (heat, cold, moisture, and salt).
- Nylon 6/6 synthetic fibers in the brushes, absorbing water while maintaining strength in all conditions.
- Stainless steel band with wire that holds fibers together — made to last “forever”.
- HD-PVC brush holders, known for colorfastness and impact resistance.
Optional solid teak inlay, the same material used on ship decks — weather-resistant and beautiful.
Replaceable Parts, Not Disposable Products
We don’t believe that one damaged part should mean replacing the entire mat.
